Errors in Flow Diagram

PMCID: PMC8173464  PMID: 34076688

In the Original Investigation titled “Effect of Vitamin D3 Supplementation on Severe Asthma Exacerbations in Children With Asthma and Low Vitamin D Levels: The VDKA Randomized Clinical Trial,”1 published in the August 25, 2020, issue of JAMA, there were errors in the numbers of patients in each treatment group who did not complete the trial reported in Figure 1. Under the boxes reporting how many patients were randomized to each group, it should have read that 4 patients were lost to follow-up and 4 discontinued the intervention due to family decision/moved in the vitamin D3 group and 1 patient was lost to follow-up and 2 discontinued the intervention due to family decision/moved in the placebo group. This article was corrected online.
