The overlying cartilage in the lateral tibia has significantly higher full-thickness T1ρ values than those of the surrounding cartilage at all time points (Ai). The deep and superficial layers of the overlying cartilage have elevated T1ρ values compared to their respective layers of the surrounding cartilage at all timepoints (Aii).
