At the request of Harvard Medical School (HMS) and the Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH), the editors of the Journal of Experimental Medicine hereby retract the article, “Role of IL-12 and costimulators in T cell anergy in vivo” (1997. J. Exp. Med. 186:1119–1128), by Luk Van Parijs, Victor L. Perez, Andre Biuckians, Robert G. Maki, Cheryl A. London, and Abul K. Abbas. The basis of this retraction, according to HMS and BWH, is that “Figure 4 of the paper, determined to have been prepared by Dr. Van Parijs, is erroneous.”
