Differentiation of LA7 cells using DMSO results in a cell population hierarchy in which most cells are not tumor initiating. Undifferentiated LA7 cells (100,000) were injected into NOD-SCID mice in parallel with 100,000 LA7 cells differentiated using DMSO for 60 h.
