(A) (Upper) Film autoradiograms of GluR2 mRNA expression in a saline-injected control and at 6, 12, 16, 20, and 24 h after KA-induced status epilepticus. Down-regulation of GluR2 mRNA expression occurred 12 h after KA in CA1 and CA3, but remained stable in DG. (Lower) Mean densities of GluR2 mRNA decreased in hippocampal CA1 and CA3 and increased slightly in DG.
