In the originally published version of this article, errors were identified in several figure panels. Copy-and-paste errors introduced during figure assembly in GraphPad Prism affected Figures 2C, S2E, S4H, S5H, and S6E. Data-entry errors also occurred when data were transferred into separate GraphPad Prism files for Figures S3E, 6G, 6I, 6P, and S6M, causing the plotted values to differ from the finalized datasets. Figure 5B was affected by an Excel formula error. During spreadsheet reorganization, a SUM formula was inadvertently retained in the cell subsequently assigned to C24:1, causing that cell to display the sum of C16:0 through C24:0 rather than the source C24:1 values. The affected panels were regenerated using the verified source data, and the relevant statistical analyses and annotations were recalculated where necessary. In addition, the source data files previously uploaded for the affected panels did not reflect the finalized datasets. These files have now been updated, and the corrected source data are available at Mendeley Data: https://doi.org/10.17632/z5sxdp2x3w.1. These corrections do not alter the direction of the reported effects, the interpretation of the experiments results, and the conclusions of the paper. The authors sincerely apologize for these inadvertent errors and confusion have caused.
