Figure 4: Impact of GCS Severity on Kinetic Coagulation Parameters.

Figure 4:

Comparison of coagulation parameters in trauma patients with no traumatic brain injury (No-TBI)(n=34), a GCS of 9-15 (Moderate TBI)(n=8) and a GCS of 3-8 (Severe TBI)(n=23). D-dimer concentration (A), spontaneous fibrinolysis one hour after clotting activation (B), tPA concentration (C), and fibrinolytic markers normalized to healthy donors over time (D). Comparison of clinical parameters, aPTT (E), and injury severity score (F). Proteomic profiling of intrinsic coagulation factors, von Willebrand factor (G), coagulation factor VIII (H), and coagulation factor XIII alpha chain (I). Data shown is mean ± SEM. Normality assessed with D’Agostino & Pearson Test. Brown-Forsythe and Welch ANOVA and Kruskal Wallis were used to compare differences between multiple groups. Significance between groups indicated by * p < 0.05, ** < 0.01, *** p < 0.001, **** p < 0.0001.
