MESV and MPSV expression levels are approximately 50-fold higher in fibroblasts than in ES cells. RNA was extracted from both infected and noninfected CCE ES cells and from infected GP-envAm12 fibroblasts (GPA). Total RNA (15 μg) was size separated by gel electrophoresis, transferred to a nylon membrane, and hybridized with either a Neor or a β-actin probe.
